About

52 years old. High handicap. Typically shoot high 90s to low 100s. Home course slope is 135 so it is no 'walk in the park' for me. Many strokes are lost off the tee box since beyond the bluegrass rough is native grass knee high to shoulder high that swallows balls never to be found again. I cannot find any consistency. The Director of Golf where I play asked the caddie that I always use for tournaments "how can he have such a good looking swing and play so bad". The answer is easy. I don't have a correct swing but get it right once in a while. There is no way to score well with this problem. I, like so many other amateur golfers, have tried lessons, videos, programs, magazines, and beat balls on the practice range ad nausea. Still no lasting benefit because I can't get a feeling of what is happening when the swing is good and understand why things are wrong when it is not. Love the game and always have fun with a few games of frustration each year. This is why I will keep pursuing a better game. I just want to be on the course giving a go at shooting a good score. 82 is my low round in the last 3 years.
