Once upon a time I was 14 playing off 14, having started cleaning clubs and caddying for my father and uncle at about 6 or 7. I remember my first Pitch and putt when I was 7 with my Father. It's where I spent precious time and happy times with my father, on the golf course, caddying, cleaning his clubs, playing in father & son competitions. I always had a lot of strength, a lot of distance but never much finesse around the green. Life took over and I played rarely for 30 years. I came back to the game 3 yeas ago and am playing off 17 from a standing start of 28. I got to 15.8 last summer and have not played to that handicap since. My target is to play a game that shoots in the single figures and have fun. I'm 50 and time is a ticking! If I achieve it it will be a wonderful personal ambition. Update Aug 2017: Hole in One!!! :-) I'm Married with 2 sons and 2 step sons, all of them into their sports for careers and one going into the Army, but also a good sportsman.
