Hello – On day 40 of the program. As the title suggests, I struggle with dropping the back foot when hitting a cut off the tee. It doesn’t feel natural to aim left, drop foot, and cut the ball – In fact it feels like it puts my back in a stressed position.

I like to work the driver both ways and with my flexibility, dropping the foot back is wonderful for straight or right-to-left shots. BTW – my profile shows about a 10-12 yard cut off of a left bunker…(It’s Michigan).

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Jeff,

Thank you for reaching out and for asking this question. You may square the feet here to help the flexibility there, if that’s what feels good to produce the shot. Also, one thing to check is if the foot is dropped back, we want to be sure it doesn’t close the alignments of the knees or hips especially when hitting a cut.

If you have any further questions please let us know.
